Call for Contributions – Workshop of Works in Progress (WiP)
The Workshop of Works in Progress (WiP) is a forum for discussing ongoing innovative research on projects under development, development from lab to industry applications, and general technical contributions in all topics of Computer Graphics, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Computer Vision, and Data Visualization. Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to submit their ongoing research projects. The accepted papers will be presented in an oral session during the conference.
Selection Criteria
The submissions will be evaluated by the WiP program committee considering their compliance with the themes of interest to the SIBGRAPI audience, technical quality, potential contribution to the research or industrial areas, and clarity of exposition.
Instruction to The Authors
Papers must have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 pages, including all figures and references. All submissions must be in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) and must comply with the SIBGRAPI formatting guidelines (see Main Track). In particular:
- Author names must be omitted during the review process, according to the anonymity requirement for the article reviewing process.
- Texts in Portuguese or Spanish must also include an English abstract before the abstract in Portuguese/Spanish
- Acceptance of the submission implies that at least one of its authors will register for the conference and present the paper.
Instructions for Paper Submission
Paper submissions must be done through the WiP CMT system. Please create an account, log in (using your user name and password), then:
- Select your profile on the top menu; Click on the button “Create a new submission”;
- Select “Workshop of Works in Progress – WiP”;
- Fill out the required information and click on “Submit” at the bottom of the page.
Presentation Guideline
The accepted papers will be presented in a poster session. At least one of its authors (preferably the student) must register for the conference and present the paper at the WiP session
Proceedings
All accepted papers will be assigned a DOI and will be available at the SBC Open Lib (Sol), the Digital Library of the Brazilian Computer Society.
No-show Policy
No-show papers, i.e., papers submitted by authors who subsequently did not present the paper in person at the technical meeting, will be removed from the conference proceedings. Videos or remote casting are not allowed.
