All tutorials will be free of charge to all conference attendees.<\/p><p>A tutorial should take a half of the day (3 hours long), but in exceptional cases it may be submitted for the whole the day (6 hours long).<\/p><p>The following categories of tutorials will be accepted: elementary, intermediate, and advanced.<\/p><p><strong>Elementary tutorials<\/strong> should complement the basic undergraduate curriculum in Engineering, Computer Science, and related areas to entice students into following graduate studies in CG, CV, IP, or PR.Instructors should not assume that the audience has basic knowledge in these areas.<\/p><p><strong>Intermediate tutorials<\/strong> are targeted to students, professionals, and researchers who wish to learn advanced techniques in CG, CV, IP, and PR. Instructors may assume that the attendees are familiar with basic mathematics and programming notions related to the subject.<\/p><p><strong>Advanced tutorials<\/strong>\u00a0should cover state-of-the-art research, recent developments, emerging topics, and novel applications in CG, CV, IP, and PR.<\/p><h3>Tutorial Selection<\/h3><p>All proposals will be blindly reviewed by at least two experts in the topic and will be judged by:<\/p><ul><li>Relevance for the conference;<\/li><li>The expected size of the audience;<\/li><li>Potential to attract participants to the conference;<\/li><li>Originality; and<\/li><li>Qualification of the instructors in the topic of the tutorial.<\/li><\/ul><p>Authors should submit tutorial proposals through the <a href=\"https:\/\/cmt3.research.microsoft.com\/User\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FSIBGRAPI2024\">CMT system.<\/a> Please, send the proposal in the same format and page limit as the main conference track using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieee.org\/conferences\/publishing\/templates.html\">IEEE Docx and Latex template. <\/a>If accepted, this six-page manuscript will be published in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ieeexplore.ieee.org\/xpl\/conhome\/1000131\/all-proceedings\">IEEE Xplore Digital Library<\/a> as part of the conference proceedings.<\/p><p>The six-page manuscript should contain a survey of the topic to be presented, including:<\/p><ul><li>An introduction;<\/li><li>A structured presentation of the topic; and<\/li><li>Conclusions indicating trends, applications, and directions for future work.<\/li><\/ul><p>As supplementary material to the six-page manuscript, authors must include two PDF files containing the following information:<\/p><p>Tutorial information<\/p><ul><li>Identification of the tutorial (ID of the paper in the submission system);<\/li><li>Level (elementary, intermediate, or advanced);<\/li><li>How many hours will be required (3h or 6h);<\/li><li>Target audience;<\/li><li>Interest for the CV, IP, CG, and PR community;<\/li><li>Short biography of the instructors, including relevant experience in the topic of the tutorial.<\/li><\/ul><p>Structure of the presentation (draft of the slides)<\/p><ul><li>Topics to be presented including subtopics;<\/li><li>Relevant literature; and<\/li><li>Who will present the topic.<\/li><\/ul><p>All material should be written in English.<\/p><p><strong>Authors of the selected tutorials can be invited to edit their manuscript to produce an extended version of it as a survey paper to be submitted to a Special Section of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/journal\/computers-and-graphics\">Computers &amp; Graphics<\/a> journal. (to be confirmed)<\/strong><\/p><h3>Submission<\/h3><p>The six-page tutorials should be submitted through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cmt3.research.microsoft.com\/User\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FSIBGRAPI2024\">CMT system.<\/a> The six-page tutorials should be submitted through the CMT system.\u00a0<strong>Three files are expected to be submitted by the deadline:<\/strong> (1) the 6-page manuscript of the tutorial proposal; (2) tutorial information; and (3) the structure of the presentation.<br \/>All deadlines are 23:59 PDT. Warning: incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.<\/p><h3>Presentation<\/h3><p>All accepted tutorials are scheduled for oral presentation according to the schedule defined for the Tutorials. The oral presentations must fit in 6 hours (whole day) or 3 hours (half of the day), with breaks for coffee and lunch. Slides and presentations must be in English.<\/p><h3>No-Show and No-Registration Policy<\/h3><p>No-show tutorials are defined as accepted proposals submitted by authors who subsequently did not present the tutorial in-person at the Tutorial Sections (videos or remote cast are not allowed). If accepted, this six-page manuscript will be published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library as part of the conference proceedings. The six-page manuscript should contain a survey of the topic to be presented, including: An introduction; A structured presentation of the topic; and Conclusions indicating trends, applications, and directions for future work. As supplementary material to the six-page manuscript, authors must include two PDF files containing the following information: Tutorial information Identification of the tutorial (ID of the paper in the submission system); Level (elementary, intermediate, or advanced); How many hours will be required (3h or 6h); Target audience; Interest for the CV, IP, CG, and PR community; Short biography of the instructors, including relevant experience in the topic of the tutorial. Structure of the presentation (draft of the slides) Topics to be presented including subtopics; Relevant literature; and Who will present the topic. All material should be written in English. Authors of the selected tutorials can be invited to edit their manuscript to produce an extended version of it as a survey paper to be submitted to a Special Section of the Computers &amp; Graphics journal.
